Panathlon has been working with staff of BAA at London Stansted Airport for a year and the partnership has meant that Panathlon upskills staff members in a range of disability sports and the staff then volunteer their time back at Panathlon competions.
This saw Panathlon delivering their Officials Training today with seven new BAA staff at their offices in Stansted. The training included the sports of polybat, boccia & new age kurling. Throughout the training Dave Smith, a veteran BAA staff member who officiated at 3 separate competitions in 2012, supported the training and also lead on coaching Boccia. We look forward to meeting them all again soon and for them to use their new skills with disabled young people at a competition. Some of the staff trained below.
