46 physically disabled children from 5 schools had their eyes on gold at this years Lords Taveners County Boccia Tournament.

It saw Sandfield Park, Woodchurch High, Broadgreen International School, Merefield and Lansbury Bridge compete to determine the 4 Merseyside representatives for the Lord Taverners Regional finals, that will take place on Thursday 7th February 2019 at Greenbank Sports Academy.

In what is one of the highest scores Panathlon have seen at a County Boccia Competition, Broadgreen international stormed through to the finals with a 25-0 win over Merefield B, joined by Sandfield Park who won their semi final 11-0 over Merefield A. Merefield B took home the bronze with a 6-2 win over fellow class mates Merefield A.
