Columbus School invited Panathlon down to their 2012 Olympics Legacy day on Thursday 17th July. With a very happy welcome visit from Manderville the mascot from the 2012 Paralympics, the day served as an end of year sports day for every year group in the school. Their were many different sports done throughout the day including 3 Panathlon sports; New Age Kurling, Table Cricket and Flightpath from our primary programme. The day also allowed all the teachers to hand out awards to pupils who had done well throughout the year. They based the awards on the seven Olympic Values; Friendship, Equality, Determination, Inspiration, Courage, Excellence and Respect.
Throughout the day all the children showed how well they all follow these values in school and during sport. A fantastic way to end the year and we look forward to seeing Columbus next year!
