Danny Crates, Paralympic gold Medallist has agreed to support the Panathlon Challenge and become the charity’s sporting Patron. Danny has competed at the highest level for the last ten years and carried the GB flag in to the stadium in Beijing at the last Paralympics in September. Danny said, “I am delighted to support Panathlon and its great work with young disabled people, giving them such sporting opportunities in a competitive environment, which is unique. The Panathlon challenge offers something for everyone, whether they come along to try out at a new sport, or have dreams of one day representing Great Britain in the Paralympics”.
Danny witnessed the benefits first hand on November 20th at Braintree College in Essex which hosted its first Panathlon event for over 50 local young disabled people who competed in a range of sports.
