From Chris the Panathlon volunteer extraordinaire.
I helped again at Panathlon yesterday at Langdon School in East Ham. It was a great competition and by far the closest Panathlon I have ever been to – with the top two teams tied on points going into the final races !
I had two jobs yesterday that I had never done for Panathlon before, the first was “photographer,” taking pictures of the event which have been uploaded to the gallery and secondly demonstrating the race which meant I had to get running. The first was more enjoyable than the second!
This was the first Panathlon that i had been to that had involved five-a-side football, I’ve seen Powerchair Football at an event before but never five-a-side. The children looked like they really enjoyed it but not as much as the teacher who ran on to the pitch and celebrated when her team scored a goal!
I’m looking forward to my next Panathlon at John Fisher School, Sutton in a couple of weeks!
