On the 22nd January, Panathlon visited Langley Park School to deliver aquatics training to 12 students. The course, which is ASA accredited, will give the students a qualification upon completion of the practical swimming event; to be held at Downham Leisure Centre on the 28th January.

All students were made familiar with the safety implications on the day and gave valuable input in to discussions around leadership. They were also made aware of race formats, the tasks they will need to undertake on the day and the scoring system.

A very successful training day and we look forward to working with Langley Park School next week at the competition.

“We’re all really looking forward to the event next week and really appreciate you coming in to deliver this training. Lots of the students have had experience of swimming galas before but it will be fantastic experience for them to work with disabled students.”
