Liz Johnson, who has been to 6 Panathlon competitions over the last few years and awarded many medals to Panathletes, won her 3rd Paralympic medal yesterday, with Bronze in the 100m Breastroke.

Defending Paralympic champion Johnson also clocked a season’s best as she came home third in 1:40.90.

And having now won a medal at three consecutive Paralympics, the 26 year old insisted it was a relief to have reached the podium after struggling to find her best form earlier in the season.

“I’m definitely glad I got a medal in front of a home crowd,” said Johnson, pictured with friend Charlotte Henshaw who pipped her for Silver.
.
“I left my best swim of the season in the pool and a Bronze medal is fantastic, I’m so relieved to have some ‘bling’ to show for the hard work this season.”

Liz has been a big supporter of Panathlon and has visited competitions in London and Kent, meeting hundreds of Panathletes and encouraging the competitors in their own sporting journeys. Click below to see what she said about Panathlon on one of her earlier visits.

Well Done Liz ! We look forward to seeing you soon with your collection of Paralympic medals now you have the full set of Gold, Silver and Bronze..
