On the weekend of 23rd – 26th May, twenty novice cyclists will be departing London to pedal all the way to Paris, all in the name of charity. Well two charities actually; Panathlon and also the Essex Air Ambulance.

The idea came from the Woodland Group, Panathlon’s commercial sponsor, who not only dreamed it up , but are putting their logistics brains and organisation behind it. More importantly- 16 staff, family and friends are riding and raising funds in the process. Team Panathlon are providing the other 4 cyclists, 3 of which are pictured above just before they embark on yet another training ride!

It certainly is going to be a great adventure and a huge physical challenge for all involved. The first days pedalling from London to Dover is a terrifying 90 miles! and then a further 175 miles once the cyclists arrive in France.

Please if you can spare 30 seconds of your time and a few pounds from your pocket, visit one of the fund-raising pages here to add your support and inspire the riders along the way!
