On the 5th of December, Panathlon delivered a primary coaching event to 74 students from eight different schools across Enfield. 7 of the teams who attended were units from mainstream schools and with the majority of these new to Panathlon sports, the day served as a fantastic introduction to the various activities on offer, including Flight Path, Table Cricket, Volleybat, Boccia Blast, Parachute Popcorn, New Age Kurling and Precision Beanbag.

It was a tightly fought competition, with many of the teams ending on the same points, but the eventual winners were Cuckoo Hall with 371 points. All students who took part are now more familiar with the primary Panathlon games and we hope to see them at the North London Primary Panathlon in summer 2014.

A big thank you must go to the year 6 students from Alma Primary School who led the activities on the day.

“The children really loved the day! Our students had smiles on their faces all morning and it’s great to see them working as a team and willing each other on. Thanks again and we’re looking forward to the next one!

“Firstly I would like to thank you personally for a fantastic morning of activities for our pupil who otherwise find they cannot always access all of their physical education sessions due to their disabilites. They all had a terrific time and it was great to watch them cheering each other on as well. We would very much like to see far more of these activites on offer on a more regular basis for our children.”
