Twenty runners raised funds for the Panathlon charity today by running through the soaking wet streets and Royal Parks of London.

The stunning 13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

However for the first time in five years, the weather was ‘Autumnal’ with pouring down rain to soak the competitors and the supporters alike.

Despite the conditions, 20 Team Panathlon runners who were supporting our charity (and we must say huge thanks for every penny you raised in the process) ran through the inclement weather for 13.1 miles.

This included one runner who decided the best option for sore feet with blisters was to take her trainers off and run in the wet in just her socks??? (mentioning no names Katie-Louise…)

Provisional race results are as follows;

Niall Alexander 1.32.30
Chris James 1.37.43
