Team Panathlon included colleagues from John Lewis Stratford, Teamcore, Link FX, Bilko and a range of individuals, all supporting the Panathlon Charity, one of which was Carol Park, a teacher from Southview School in Witham who have enthusiastically competed in Panathlon for the last 5 years. Carol said, “I have experienced first hand, the opportunities, experiences and fun the Panathlon provides for young people with a range of special needs. The sports which are so carefully adapted to ensure that all can take part, give young disabled people the chance to compete and feel successful in sport. ” Carol is pictured (right) having completed in a speedy 1.53.47 and beating over 10,000 runners! Well done you!
The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon started and finished in the stunning location of Hyde Park. Over 16,000 competitors ran the 13.1 mile route through Central London, taking in the spectacular sites of the capital and the beautiful Royal Parks.
Some of those runners have kindly set up their own fundraising pages. If you are able to sponsor one of our friends and help raise some funds for Panathlon in the process – please click on their name above.
Thank you all for your efforts!
