A team of 25 runners took part on Sunday to raise thousands of pounds for the Panathlon charity in the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
In dry but cold conditions, over 16,500 participants ran past many iconic London landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, 10 Downing Street and, of course, through three of the capital’s Royal Parks, starting and finishing in Hyde Park near the Royal Albert Hall.
As ever in the Royal Parks Half we had a strong contingent of runners from our supporters at Woodland Group and IFL, based in Essex, who have supported this event for the last eight years.
Nancy Woolmer from Woodland Group, who ran with her sister Chloe, said, “It was another amazing day running through the tourist sights of London and knowing all your efforts are being rewarded by supporting the Panathlon charity that we know and love!”
Ashley Iceton, Panathlon CEO, said: “It has been fantastic to have the support this year of so many of our funders who have shed blood, sweat and tears for the Panathlon charity in various fundraising events this year including Ride London, Swim Serpentine and now the Royal Parks Half Marathon.”

“Every penny raised by their efforts will go back into involving more children in our sporting competitions. Thank you everyone who has contributed this year, in any shape or form!”
Verisk once again supported the charity by providing seven runners including the first two Panathlon runners across the line as seen below! Support their team here!
