On the 21st November, Panathlon, alongside Boccia England, delivered the Lord Taverners Boccia Competition for the South London Boroughs. Hosted at John Fisher School, the competition involved 6 eager teams who all wanted to finish in the top 2 places in order to progress through to the London Regional Final, held in early February.

From the off, the standard was incredible with St Giles School, Clarendon School and Glebe School all stamping their authority in their opening matches. As the competition progressed however, there was a late flourish from Perseid School who won 3 from their last 4 matches and as a result found themselves pinching the bronze medal. The final was to be fought out between unbeaten St Giles School and Clarendon School. Although both teams knew they were going through to the next round of the competition, the standard was again impressive, but it was St Giles who played better during the important stages and picked up an impressive 8-0 victory to secure Gold.

A big thank you must go to John Fisher School for providing both outstanding leaders and hosting the event.
