The Peter Cundill Foundation focuses on great charities working to improve the lives of children in a variety of ways.

The Foundation partners with projects in low and middle-income countries who are widening access to, and/or raising the quality of basic education.

In Canada, Bermuda and the UK, the Foundation supports partners who are improving the lives of children more broadly, either filling under-served niches or improving the efficiency of existing children’s services.

The Foundation’s funding for Panathlon has allowed us to develop our competitions and training for children and young people in the north west of England.

As of July 2020, their funding allowed us to increase capacity across Bolton, Blackburn, Salford, Bury and Manchester by over double our stated target (1248 students engaged compared to a target of 550).

In Cheshire, we engaged nearly 1,000 more young people with disabilities and special needs in 2019/20 than in the previous academic year. We also trained over 200 more Young Leaders. In Cumbria we were also able to host extra events.

We thank the Peter Cunliffe Foundation for their vital support and look forward to working with them more in the future.
