The Woodland Group has been a major sponsor of Panathlon since 2011 and that investment has been used in a variety of ways over the years including the employment of a part-time member of staff and the expansion of our sporting programmes in Essex and beyond.
Woodland Staff have been actively involved volunteering in a variety of ways at competitions each year and have provided funding for many outstanding achievement awards to worthy recipients in recent years.
These include the latest awards to Dexter Hanmer and Isabelle Evans in the summer of 2020, which builds on Woodland Staff awarding Achievement Awards in the Autumn of 2019 at Doucecroft School in Colchester.
Previous recipients have included awards to Lenny Rush in 2018 and Honey Lock in 2017. awarded at the Essex County Cricket Ground, where the Woodland Group are a major sponsor of Essex Cricket. (see main pic top)
The Chelmsford-based company have been incredibly imaginative in raising funds during the last 10 years, including being the main sponsor of the Panathlon Ball, a charity golf day at Stoke Park Golf Club, completing the London to Paris Cycle Ride (see video at the bottom of the page) and the Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours, raising many thousands of pounds in the process.
In May 2022, 17 Woodland Group and International Food Link employees were part of the 33-strong Panathlon team which completed the 100-mile RideLondon event, raising £12,500 for Panathlon (see main pic)!
It’s been a fantastic long-term partnership which has helped our charity grow and benefitted thousands of children with disabilities and special educational needs in Essex and beyond.
