The Woodland Group has been a major sponsor of Panathlon since 2011 and that investment has been used in a variety of ways over the years including the employment of a part time member of staff, resulting in the charity growing hugely over the last ten years.

Woodland Staff have been actively involved volunteering in a variety of ways at competitions each year and have provided funding for many outstanding achievement awards to worthy recipients in recent years.

These include the latest awards to Dexter Hanmer and Isabelle Evans in the summer of 2020, which builds on Woodland Staff awarding Achievement Awards in the Autumn of 2019 at Doucecroft School in Colchester. (See Pic right)

Previous recipients have included awards to Lenny Rush in 2018 and Honey Lock in 2017.  awarded at the Essex County Cricket Ground, where the Woodland Group are a major sponsor of Essex Cricket. (see main pic top)

The Chelmsford based company have been incredibly imaginative in raising funds during the last 10 years, including being the main sponsor of the Panathlon Ball, a charity golf day at Stoke Park Golf Club, and a London to Paris Cycle Ride, which involved 21 energetic staff pedalling 276 miles. (See the video at the bottom of the page)

Most recently a dozen staff completed the Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours, all for the Panathlon charity.

It’s been a fantastic partnership which has helped our charity grow due to the long term support provided which has benefitted thousands of children in Essex with disabilities and special educational needs.
