On Monday 23rd June Panathlon ran a trial Ten Pin Bowling competition at Ten Pin in Chelmsford. We had 9 students from 2 schools, Beacon Hill and Southview. The day served as a learning experience for both the schools and us. Overall it was a fantastic event with a wide age range in attendance but they could all compete on the same level. It was Lori from Southview who took the highest individual score all day scoring 114 but in the team scores it was a very close result with the winners being decided on the average of the teams scores. Southview won with an average team score of 91 and very close behind was Beacon Hill with an average of 89.
Some great feedback from the teachers:
Charlotte, Teacher Southview School “A fantastic day and a great opportunity to show the older children at school that there are sports outside college and school that they can join and compete in. Something like this really encourages them to get involved. They’ve all loved their day out!”
Teacher, Beacon Hill “Thoroughly enjoyed that and you can see by the childrens faces they’ve all enjoyed and they’ve been so enthusiastic all day! We look forward to more Ten Pin Bowling days and will bring a lot more children next time, they’ll love it!”
