Panathlon’s work wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of some very generous people – and provision across North Wales has been transformed thanks to the funding partnership with the Neumark Foundation.

Greg Wassell, son of the Foundation’s CEO Rebecca Neumark, recently ran the Lisbon Marathon to raise funds for Panathlon, for which we are very grateful – and impressed!

And founders Peter and Maria Neumark were special guests at the Wrexham Primary Panathlon event on Wednesday 9 October at Wrexham Tenpin, presenting all the medals and getting the chance to chat with competitors and the school staff.

“It has been a real eye-opener,” said Maria, adding: “The children are going to talk about this for weeks to come!”

Peter enthused about the sense of friendly competition, which Maria described as “a learning skill”.

“We have seen a lot of smiles here this morning – lots of smiles, which is worth every penny,” said Peter. “We’ve seen a lot of very happy kids, a lot of kids who haven’t had the opportunity to do things like this before.

“It’s nice to see our money has been so well spent.”
