Panathlon today was a fantastic atmosphere where students are able to achieve their best in a perfectly integrated day. This is a day where students needs and their ambition come first. The students and staff feel that the scoring system and structure of the day means students are able to be competitive and strive for Gold, something that is missing in other disability events. It was a nice inspirational touch having a real life Paralympian present. The students also feel that they are part of a wider community, representing Newham and as 9 schools are involved, it really creates a great team spirit.

One of the competitors from Cleeve Park School in Bexley also said, “I enjoyed the wheelchair and slalom the best as I can show off my wheelchair skills to other wheelchair users and all my friends.”
