On the 15th July, Panathlon delivered the final Primary Panathlon of the academic year. Held at Southfields College, in Wandsworth, 16 children from 3 local primary schools (Broadwater, Penwortham and Furzedown) attended the coaching session. Each student had the opportunity to take part in 8 different activities including Vollybat, Boccia Blast, New Age Kurling, Precision Beanbag, Messi Football, Parachute Popcorn, Table Cricket and Flight Path.

The children were split in to 4 teams to and once they were familiar with the activities they then competed against the other teams with a Gold medal awaiting the champions, presented by Paralympic Gold medallist, Tim Prendergast. Tim said “It’s fantastic to see these students here trying out a range of activities and having fun. I hope it’s these types of opportunities that encourage students to continue with sports and go on to develop their skills in a chosen sport as they become older. “

In the end it was the yellow team from Furzedown who pinched the win and we hope they will bring their expertise to the Regional Primary Competitions next Summer.
