Panathlon are delighted to have the support of the Woodland Group for the 15th year in a row – with the partnership getting stronger and stronger each year.

Through Woodland Group’s continued sponsorship of Essex Cricket, we are to benefit from every run that the Essex men’s and women’s teams score at home in their Vitality Blast T20 campaigns this year.

With the home games played just a stone’s throw away from Woodland Group’s headquarters in Chelmsford, it’s a great way to motivate the team with a good cause at heart.

Three matches thus far have already raised just under £1,000 and we’re not even at the halfway stage of the competition!

Woodland Group will present a cheque to the Panathlon Foundation for the final amount at the last game of the season against Hampshire Hawks on July 10th.

Jason Shuttleworth, sales director with the Woodland Group, said, “Cricket has always been about more than just the result. It brings people together, creates special moments, and gives communities something to get behind.

“Through this initiative, every single, boundary and run chase will also help support the brilliant work Panathlon does in giving young people with disabilities and special educational needs the opportunity to take part in competitive sport.

“We are proud to be part of the Essex Cricket journey this season and even prouder that every run scored at home will help make a positive difference.”
