12 Young Leaders from Featherstone High School in Ealing showed off their talents today at the Panathlon Challenge.

After they all successfully qualified as Panathlon Young Leaders in December, they put their skills in to practice today by running their first Panathlon competition for Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

James Tinney, Panathlon Event Manager said, ” the Leaders were superb, excellent organisational skills and great with the competitors. They are a credit to themselves and their school.”

Through extra funding from the Jack Petchey Foundation, Panathlon is qualifying up to 200 young leaders as Panathlon Young Officials in 2012 and is giving them practical experience at the coal face !

Katy, one-to-one support worker for Jamie, Powerchair Athlete from H&F said, ” This is a wonderful day – the level of organisation is superb, the Panathlon Leaders are brilliant, and an enormous amount of imagination has gone toward making this a fantastic and energetic day out!
